My campaign products have been mailed, when will I get them?

You have been accepted into a campaign and received an email from BrandBacker letting you know the brand has shipped your products. Packages mailed from brands can take 7 to 10 business days to reach the address you have setup on BrandBacker. Keep a lookout on the Campaign Progress page and any reminder emails for shipping tracking information the brand has uploaded. Once you receive products, you will need to confirm you received them on the Campaign Progress page.

Shipping delays can happen for a number of different reasons:

1. The brand may have marked your product as sent but your package might not have been mailed yet due to delays at the brand's shipping warehouse.

2. The delivery service used by the brand might have delays or the package might have been mailed using ground delivery which can take more time.

3. You live in a country outside of the mailing country and the package might be held up or taking longer to get through customs.

4. The package was mailed/delivered to the wrong address or was taken after being delivered to your address.

If there is no tracking information on the Campaign Progress page and you haven't received your package in two weeks, reach out to the brand via the BrandBacker Messages section to see if they have any tracking information.

I changed my mind or had an issue with the product I received, how do I leave this campaign?

We understand that not all products work for everyone or that a conflict may have surfaced since you first applied to a campaign. If you cannot complete content for a campaign that you received products in, here are the steps you need to take in order to leave the campaign:

1. Confirm that you received the products on the Campaign Progress page.

2. Click on the "Submit Private Review" link on the left side of the Campaign Progress page.

3. Fill out the short survey, leaving your honest experience with the product and any feedback you have. This survey is anonymous and helps the brand understand what worked well and what they can improve.

4. Send an email to support@brandbacker.com with the name of the campaign you would like to released from along with confirmation that you completed the Private Review section.

5. Our support team will be able to handle your request and release you from the campaign.

I want to complete this campaign. How do I properly submit my final content link?

In order to complete most campaigns, you must submit a published content link to the Campaign Progress page. Here are the steps you need to take to complete a campaign:

1. Make sure that the Content Channel you are publishing to has been added to your Content Channel Settings.

2. Go to the Campaign Progress page for the campaign, click on the "Submit Final Link" section on the left side of the page.

3. Read the instructions on how to properly submit your final content link. Instructions are different for social media posts and blog posts. For Blog Posts, copy the tracking code and paste it into your blog post editor's HTML editor. For Instagram and YouTube posts, make sure to use the correct hashtags and sponsored notes.

4. Click the red "Submit Final Link" button on the right side of the page and paste the public link to the content in the form.

Can't get past the tracking code checker? Here are things to check:

1. Make sure the Content Channel you are publishing to has been added to your Content Channel Settings.

2. Make sure you are submitting the link to the "Submit Final Link" section and NOT the "Submit Additional Links" section.

3. Make sure the link you are submitting is to the actual public facing link to the post. This means clicking in to the post first before copying the URL from your browser. We do not accept links to your home page or profile page.

4. For blog posts, make sure that the tracking code has been added to your HTML or Code View editor and not the Visual Editor.

5. For Instagram posts, if it's been less than an hour since you posted, wait an hour before trying again. It can sometimes take a few hours for Instagram to make your posts public.

If you are still having issues getting past the tracking code checker, send an email to support@brandbacker.com with the link you are submitting and the name of the campaign.

I need more time to create content, how can I update my due date?

Content Due Dates are the date you need to submit your rough draft of your content to the brand for approval. In some campaigns that do not require a rough draft, this is the date you need to submit your final published content. The default content due dates in campaigns are set to 7, 14 or 21 days based on how long the brand running the campaign thinks you need to try their products before leaving an honest assessment.

Your content due date is set after you confirm you received products on the Campaign Progress page.

We understand that sometimes it can take longer to complete content due to a variety of reasons and so influencers are able to update their due date up to 3 weeks in the future.

When confirming your Campaign Products, you will have the ability to choose your content due date. If you need to adjust this in the future, you can do so on the Campaign Progress page by clicking on the "Update Content Due Date" link.

How do I know if a campaign is paid? When do I get paid out?

Not all campaigns on BrandBacker include Paid Posts as a form of compensation. Here is where to look to ensure that a campaign is paid and that you are going to be paid for your sponsored post:

1. On the Campaign Overview, look to the right side of the page where it says "Campaign Offers". This section will include "Paid Posts" for paid campaigns. If there is a red X over the Paid Posts section, that means you are not eligible for Paid Posts due to a low follower count on your social media channels.

2. When applying to a campaign that includes Paid Posts, you will be able to enter your Asking Rate in the Campaign Application form. If you do not see an Asking Rate form on your Campaign Application, Paid Posts are not available.

3. After you've submitted your application to join the campaign, you can find your Asking Rate in the "Application" section of the Campaign Progress page.

4. If you are selected in the Campaign, you will receive a confirmation email where the Asking Rate you entered will be shown as the compensation you will be receiving. If you do not see your Asking Rate in this email, you are not scheduled to be paid out for the campaign.

If you are accepted into a Campaign with an Asking Rate, you will be paid out AFTER you have completed the campaign. Once you have submitted your final content link to the "Submit Final Link" section, we will track your post for 15 days. You will then be paid out the following Tuesday Afternoon during our weekly Influencer Payouts.

You can find the status of your payouts in your Payout Status section.

I'm not from the United States, are there campaigns available for influencers in my country?

The majority of brands on BrandBacker are based in the United States. Typically brands can only ship to influencers who are based in the same country and so the majority of our campaigns can only send products to influencers based in the United States.

We do regularly run campaigns for Canadian influencers along with a few campaigns every year where influencers around the the world can take part. Canadian campaigns will have the phrase "Canada Only" in the headline.

Many of our country specific campaigns are launched privately by brands. For these private campaigns, you will receive a special invite email with the Campaign Headline and Overview outlining the countries eligible.

Before applying to a campaign, check the "Eligibility" section on the right side of the Campaign Overview to make sure the country you are in can receive products. You can still apply to a campaign that you cannot receive a product in but brands will typically not accept you into the campaign. If they do accept you, you will not be receiving a product and the content you create will be about introducing the brand to your followers and not a product review.

I applied to a campaign, when will I know if I'm accepted?

The application period for most Campaigns on BrandBacker is 10 days. This means you have 10 days from when the Campaign is launched to submit an application to take part in the campaign. The number of days left for applications can be found on the Campaign Overview.

Once the application period closes, brands will review applicants and select influencers for their campaign. Some campaigns can have thousands of applications and it can take from 10 to 14 days for the brand to make their final decisions on which influencers to take into a campaign.

If your application is still pending after two weeks, you can assume that you have not been selecting in the initial batch of influencers for the campaign. Sometimes brands like to keep influencers on standby in the campaign in case someone drops out or products/budget has opened up for more influencers.

Why was I not accepted into a campaign?

Campaign applicants are typically judged by brands using the following criteria:

1. Channel Stats - Brands look at how many total followers you have and particularly will look at reach and engagement statistics for content channels they want content from. If a brand is looking for Instagram content, they will look at how many Instagram Followers you have and how many Likes and Comments you get on typical posts.

Brands will also be looking at your stats to make sure that your engagement levels match your follower counts. If your engagement levels seem too low for the numbers of followers you have, the brand might find that unusual and pass on your application.

2. Content Quality - Brands will visit your content channels to get an idea of the types of content you create. Influencers who create visually compelling content with a consistent style will typically have a better chance of being accepted. Influencers with channels focused on reviews, free items or coupons will typically not be accepted in campaigns.

3. Brand Fit - Brands will also be looking at your content to see if you fit the aesthetic and vibe they are trying to portray. That might mean if you don't match the demographic of the brand's target audience, you might not be accepted for a campaign. Similarly, if your content leans more risque or controversial, you might not be accepted by conservative brands.

Many times brands have a limited number of products they can give out or a limited budget. This means they have to be extremely selective and so even if you match all of their criteria, you might not get into a campaign.

If you are repeatedly getting turned down from campaigns, we would suggest looking at your content quality and visual aesthetic. Brands will tend to favor content that looks professional and influencers who create content at this level, will normally see high levels of followers and engagement come with it.
